Inlet and exhaust camshaft dephaser solenoid valve

Customer concern of engine managment light on and running rough.

Confirmed customer compliant and carried out computer diagnostic test to find fault codes P0014 - Exhaust camshaft position system performance and P0017 - Crankshaft position (Exhaust camshaft position not plausible).

Investigate fault codes and carry out further testing to check both exhaust and inlet camshaft dephaser solenoid valves. Exhaust solenoid faulty and not electronically activating.

To ensure a good repair and as good practice, the engine oil and filter were changed prior to commencing the repair.

Replaced both inlet and exhaust camshaft dephaser solenoid valves (Inlet advised and requested by customer). Road tested to confirm repair
