This Porsche Boxster came in for a routine check over. The owner had said that it had various knocks and squeaks coming from it whilst driving.

While it was here we tightened up a rattling exhaust heatshield.

We also noticed that on road test there was a noise coming from a wheel bearing. We traced it to the o/s/f wheel bearing being worn and noisy. We replaced the wheel bearing and road tested the car - all seemed better but there was still another noise apparent when going over slight bumps.

We found that the front and rear axle 'D' bushes have worn causing the noise. We replaced the 'D' bushes and road tested the car - all was fine.

We also investigated the engine having an occassional mis-fire. After carrying out a diagnostics check we found that the mass air flow meter had an internal fault. We replaced the meter and reset the on-board computer.

We road tested the vehicle and all felt good with no more knocking and rattling noises.

We carried out a service and regas to the air conditioning system.

We dropped the car back to the customers house - they were really pleased that they got their car back within 2 days and the invoice came to far less than they were expecting.
