MINI requiring new rear brakes

 

This well looked after Mini came in for it's MOT test and unfortunately failed on the rear brakes being worn low.

 

We stripped down the rear brakes and found that one of the brake calipers had seized up. We ordered a caliper but found that the original calipers were painted red by it's previous owner and therefore were not standard to the car. We couldn't locate a painted caliper so decided to paint the new one red ourselves.

 

We replaced the rear brake discs and pads and replaced one caliper. We also cleaned the caliper up on the other side so that it matched, as much as possible to, the new one.

 

After a good wash and hoover out - it was good to go.
