Does your BMW mini use excessive oil?

Mini failed piston
Mini failed piston

We have had a number of BMW Mini Ones, Coopers and Cooper S coming in and the owners complaining that they often have to top up the engine oil in-between servicing.

We have a solution to the reason why these Minis appear to use oil excessively.

The oil control rings on the piston start to fail which allow oil into the combustion chamber.

We have worked on a number of these Minis recently and every one has been rectified.

This job is quite labour intensive but the results are a dramatic reduction in oil consumption and much cleaner, less smokey and more efficient exhaust emissions. The engine performance will also improve.

Please call or book your MINI in and we will investigate to establish whether your Mini could benefit from this work being carried out.

There is no need for a new engine which is what other garages may recommend to you.
