This Toyota Avensis was in great need of a new clutch.

When we take on a job like this we always pre-warn the customer that there may be the possibility of the dual mass flywheel requires replacing at the same time. We price the job up as best and worst case scenerios.

Obviously most customers don't want the expense of replacing the dual mass flywheel but we believe that if they are prepared for that possibilty in advance then, if the worst case was to happen and they required a flywheel, then we don't have to give them any further bad news.

Often other garages don't prepare the customer for this possibilty and end up causing customers more stress than necessary.

So if you are calling around for clutch prices than always try to get the whole price including a flywheel (if your vehicle has a dual mass flywheel) so you don't get that nasty surprise when you go to collect your car from the garage.
