This 2002 Yamaha Fazer was brought into us with a blowing exhaust. We found that the exhaust pipe had snapped where it sleeves into the silencer, this has been caused by excessive movent due to a loose exhaust bracket.

The design of this exhaust system is in two sections the front is quite substantial due to it containing the collector box and an internal exhaust valve, the rear section is solely a silencer. Due to the complexity of the front section it is a very expensive component.

We removed the silencer and then were able to remove the broken section of the front pipe, we cleaned where the brake had accrued and welded the section back into place, refitted the silencer and re-secured the mounting bracket.

This repair saved our customer a considerable amount of money as we were able to repair instead of replacing the front section.
