Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Maintenance & Servicing
Electric vehicles (EVs) generally require less routine maintenance than normal petrol or diesel internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, but they still need regular servicing.
The main difference between EV and HEVs is that an EV does not require engine related maintenance items, while a hybrid still has an internal combustion engine that requires oil, filters and spark plug related servicing.
The exact recommended servicing schedule will depend on the make and model of your vehicle.

Air conditioning
Not only for passenger compartment comfort but some EVs use the air conditioning system for high voltage battery cooling
Coolant & fluid levels
Cooling systems are used for both the engine and electrical systems on HEV and EVs
Tyres
Due to the higher weight of EVs, tyres may need to be replaced more than normal ICE vehicles.
Testing lights and wipers

Brakes
Brake components such as pads & discs generally do not wear as much as ICE vehicles but still require inspection. The regenerative braking systems in HEV and EVs can lead to other issues, such as corrosion and binding. Brake fluid needs to be changed around every two years
Suspension & steering
The higher weight of HEV and EVs also means that the suspension and steering systems can wear quicker
