How do I know when my car needs servicing?
For most cars, this is between 8,000 miles to 12,000 miles or every 12 months.
After your first service at Wolds View Garage, we’ll let you know 4 weeks before your next service is due.
Lighting & Visibility
Your front and rear lights are checked for correct operation, as is your windscreen, wipers, exterior mirrors and registration plates.
Steering & Suspension
All suspension components, gaiters and wheel bearings are inspected, as well as your front and rear shock absorbers and road coil springs.
Tyre Inspection
All road wheels and tyres are inspected, and pressures adjusted.
Under Bonnet
A full under bonnet inspection check for leaks and that everything is in working order.
Braking
Both front and rear braking components are checked, allowing us to accurately advise you on their service life.
Under Vehicle
After the under trays are removed, the engine oil is drained, and the gearbox is checked for any leaks.
Vehicle Interior
Seat belts, horn, hazard lighting and vehicle controls are inspected. We’ll also check for any warning messages and ensure the driver displays are correct. If there are any warning lights on the dashboard we will ask you whether you would like us to investigate why they are illuminated as there may be an extra charge for the investigation.
Final Checks
We’ll finish up with checking your brake fluid and antifreeze/coolant to ensure that it is of good condition and grade before filling your engine with new oil. Once we’ve completed the work, we’ll switch off any service lights on your dashboard and update your service history to have your vehicle performing at its best.
