Rover P5 3500
Rover P5 3500

This superb example of a Rover P5 3500 comes into us once a year for it's MOT test.

On this occasion it had a fault with the rear brakes that were 'banging' on application, a worn ball joint and deteriorated tyres.

The rear brakes were stripped right back and we found that the passenger rear brake was not adjusted correctly and had some brake contamination on the shoe linings. It was also noted that the drivers side drum had bad scoring marks due to the shoe rivets damaging the drum face. We cleaned up the linings and removed all contamination from brakes. Adjusted brakes up correctly and retested the braking operation - all was fine for the MOT brake test.

Replaced a worn out ball joint on the passenger side front.

Replace all 4 tyres

While it was here we gave the car a thorough check over before the client put into storage for the winter months.

Lots of customers gave it admiring glances and a few of them were quite teary eyed to see a Rover in such great condition and still being used throughout the summer months.

We look after a few of these classic Rovers. So if you have one that requires restoration or if you have any questions about your Rover P5 please do call us and we will happily talk you through any problems.
